rechargeable lamps and wall lights

One of the things we got wrong when making over the living room back in 2015 was the lighting - oh my word did we get it wrong. So much so that the two overhead spotlights above the sofa would cause friction between the three of us - i.e. who was reading and wanted them on and who felt like they were having their retinas burnt out. I told you… overhead lighting is the devils work!
L : R Cox & cox | Dusk | Garden TradingAnyhoo - in the process of reworking the room this time and considering how to make it cosy (and family friction free), I’m unusually grateful to Instagram Reels for showing me multiple iterations of rechargeable lamps - so many lamps, so little time. Working through what we like - I say we as it turns out I’m a fan of a granny shade here and there, P not so much - has been a process but we’re getting there. And it’s a game changer when you want to add more low level lighting but can’t afford the implications of getting an electrician in to rewire etc. Not to mention the joy of having a wall light where you always wanted a wall light but couldn’t. In my latest Reel you can see a few of our rechargeable table lamps and wall lights acquired so far and I’ve rounded up an edit of a few more favourites below…
