spring home favourites
this post contains affiliate linksCreating a layered, collected home evocative of those timeless Nancy Meyers interior aesthetics can feel like an intimidating (and expensive) prospect when starting out. It requires effort and definitely can’t be rushed; but not everything has to be high end or sourced via antique fairs. In fact the key is in the mix - old should be juxtaposed with new and quirky can sit right alongside classic. I definitely advocate looking for vintage and secondhand pieces on the regular - the fun of digging about in charity and thrift shops is becoming something of a favourite sport in our house! And if you’re looking for a specific genre of piece then online vintage shops on eBay and Etsy are a great resource to plunder… it goes without saying that sometimes you need to do your due diligence before making a purchase.
But as you begin to nail down exactly what it is you’re after for each room, many High Street retailers offer pieces that, when layered alongside your own mix of secondhand and vintage, compliment them beautifully and add that elevated feel. I’m making it my mission to highlight these decor and homeware buys that will help build a home into a place of happiness and cosy memories but that don’t cost the earth.
Here, each season you’ll find a current edit of accessories, textiles, furniture kitchen and tableware. These are not only meant for the season we’re in - they’re for all year round joy! The selection is made based on what’s caught my eye and is available now so if you see something you love that will work in your home, have a click through via the images below for more info or to make a purchase.
I loved pulling together this selection for late spring/early summer and I hope you find something to help bring a little Nancy Meyers main character energy to your home everyday!
